so 3rd day into my cashiering job ;p
first 2 days was quite easy, just shadowing some other cashier and help them bag the items etc. today i opened by own counter though!
it was quite scary, all the old people will keep staring at the things you scan and make sure no mistake, and they will keep complaining about how i'm very slow wtf. and very hard to talk to them cause i cant speak chinese or dialect. how the fuck to say $0.17 in chinese? i say liao the person thought i say $1.70 and dont wanna buy LOL!
and i dont know what card is nets and what is creditcard. very confusing and always use wrong! and all the receipts are fucking confusingggg.
anyway being a cashier is quite scary and difficult cause i have to manage the money very properly. a few times i gave the wrong change, and it was troublesome to open the till again.
plus at the end of the shift, we have to count the money manually (did it like 10 fucking times today), to make sure it tallies with the amount the system registered. i have an excess of $7+ today ;p not bad la, i made $1160 dollars today, margin error only $7! actually is only $1, cause got one woman say i give her wrong change and return me $6! turns out she is the one more likely to be wrong!
thank god the macdonalds there is 24hour. at least i can still use the toilet during the night shift.
